Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Rafiah Dutczak.

Tell us a bit about you?

I’m Malaysian, Polish and Russian. I have 3 beautiful siblings. One of them is actually my twin but not identical :). I grew up in Western Australia, and the Summer here is incredible. I like to keep fit, model, and love to read books (a lot). So give me a glass of red wine and a book that’s my Friday night haha.

So you’re Malaysian/European, how did your folks meet?

Sure am, they actually met at a bar haha.

What have you been up to recently?

I’ve been super busy with work, studies, classes, training and photo shoots so it’s been crazy.

We heard you have been DJing as well?

I have and I’m absolutely in love with it! It’s my happy place.

What kind of music do you typically play?

I like to play house and electro.

Hardstyle.

What’s your opinion on the trend of Rap music now?

It’s okay, I mean there are a lot of great artists out there who are amazing at what they do, but I feel rap music today doesn’t have a lot of meaning to it like it used to.

How long have you been modeling?

Since I was 17.

What did you do for your first job?

Housekeeper.

A hot housekeeper?! Ever think of doing it still but in lingerie?

Haha, no no only at home maybe haha.

What new projects do you have coming up?

Well I have a few things coming up like working on my website. Cannot wait until it’s all finished, and I’m really excited on becoming a new brand ambassador for a fitness wear company. Also will be focusing on my DJing and there some really cool things happening there which I won’t share with you just yet.

Who would’ve known that a photo of someone washing dishes would go viral?  A photo of a Vietnamese girl washing dishes has surfaced the internet, creating a fan-base due to her good appearance.

Her mother had uploaded the image on their local social media, and has since been shared virally.  People would praise her good-looks and comment on how hard-working she is.

This 24-year-old woman goes by the name Yon Dali, according to Koreaboo.  She has been helping her family-owned restaurant since the age of 14, by working in the kitchen, washing dishes, and promoting the business by distributing fliers.

Known as Yon Dali, her real name is revealed as Nguyen Thi Hai Yen.  She was born in a Vietnamese city of Pleiku, in the province of Gia Lai.  She is currently studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, while also employed at a foreign company.  Her goal is to become an app developer and to help her family as much as possible.

Yon Dali’s care-giving personality and charm has permeated through Chinese and Korean social media, earning her thousands of fans.

Keo Necra is our favorite model contributor. It’s not because she’s a smoking hot model, but more of she is one of the realest/nicest person you’ll have the pleasure of meeting. We spent sometime we her last year after Kuya Model Expo, and we had a blast. However, we’ve been so busy here at the office, we’ve lagged it on posting up a feature on her (Sorry Keo!)

When Hugh and Wu spent time with you, you mentioned that you lived in California before and now you reside in Canada, what made you move out there?
Moving to California was seemingly for my best interest since the family that I have out there who were your stereotypical expect-over-the-top-doctoral-blood-out-of-you Vietnamese immigrants. They would bash Canada every chance they got despite how much the US health care and keeping up with appearances was crippling them deep down inside their pockets. I think their exact words were “U.S.A. All the way!” To which my mom replied; “How come you not American, Keo?” It convinced my mom so I was there for the ride.

We see that you do a lot of Body Building competitions and wrestling, how’d did you get into that
The year was 2012 and I had started blogging about all the things that made me angry. Like finding used maxi-pads in clogged toilets, getting a parking ticket, getting woken up at 3am for dinner whenever my mom was trying to adjust to a new sleeping pattern whenever she came back from Vietnam, ripping a favourite pair of jeans and fighting perves for front row at strip clubs. Although I had garnered a following of people who loved hearing me complain as an angsty University Student armed with a camera and the determination to find something that offended me everyday with my spare time, I finally received my first hate mail. It simply said. “You’re fat,” I used every nerd bone in my body to track down the email used on the IP server and wrote back: “No I’m not.” To which the person replied: “My dead dog is better looking than you.” Thus the training started as a quest to do well in my first bodybuilding competition. When I did, I just wanted to keep going. And here I am 10+ shows later.

315lbs (3) plates per side. SPLOOSH!

Do dudes still come up to you and try to show you proper form
Not quite, but they have become smarter in “approaching” me. They’ll make a sharp sudden yelp noise and wait for me to look over as if I was making the first move.. when I’d be clearly confused. Then they would walk over and comment on how well the Raiders (Or which ever team cap I’d be wearing that day.) were doing in football. There’s no escaping clever “friendship hunters” at the gym.

What’s more annoying, the dick picks or getting told how to lift?
Definitely getting told how to lift. At least with dick pics, it’s 1 (or 5) and done. With unwarranted guidance and advice, the conversation is ongoing because I’m a polite Canadian who wouldn’t want anyone to be embarrassed by a “shush, get away. You’re stupid and you smell like a well burrito swimming in regurgitated onions.”

Other than being an amazing hostess, fit girl, and modelling what else are you into? (Segway into photography)
Hmmm… Let me think about that. I guess you can say… Oh yes. Photography. I live in a city filled with people who are used to outdated photo techniques and styles I’ve been seeing for the last 10 years. During some collaborations as a model, I found myself disappointed in the produced images so more often than not, I would be reluctant to post them. Armed with a camera myself and the thought “I can do better on my own”, I started producing images that would come out exactly the way I had imagined it would. Most of the photographers I want to shoot with live outside of Winnipeg and are mainly LA based. So I would read about how my favorite photographers set their cameras and then started taking pictures of my attractive friends. Thus a new business venture was born.

So you handle talent and set up shoots. What’s easier and more fulfilling, shooting or being the model.
It’s easier and more fulfilling to shoot the subject. I like the idea of creating images that will have my subjects feeling more confident and be in positive disbelief about how they appear in the photo prior to processing. As a model, I’d look through the preview monitor in horror 80% of the time because I’m either blinking or doing something goofy that makes me appear fatter than usual.

So being all that and you’re a contributor to AmpedAsia. We’ve read all the Dick Pic Diaries. How did that come about?
I used to get at least 30 dick pics a day. I got really sick of wondering ‘why?’ so I decided to make it work in my benefit. Out of all the ones that were sent to me with a valid email/real facebook account, I wanted to really put a pinch in the foreskin of the senders. Who doesn’t love the gratification of creating drama for someone else? After I find out what their last names are, I’d screen cap and forward the messages to anyone with the same last names as them. If their friend list was visible and accessible, I’d send it to anyone on the list that was remotely attractive to kill any chance that the dick pic sender had with them. Ooooh I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about how many feathers I’ve rustled.

Anymore articles coming soon from you?
I’m currently trying to condense an article I started about the common practice of being Asian and living with your parents well into your 20’s. It’s at 3 full pages. I’m trying to scale the banter back to 1 page since I personally hate reading anything longer than that. Who has the time? Maybe I’m a slow reader. Don’t tell anyone I’m a slow reader.

Before we go, how much do you squat, and do you brag about it? lol
My squat is pretty brutal. I can only squat 205 pounds. I don’t brag much about my gym life because it tends to make people think it’s okay to take up my time asking for the easy cure for being a fat ass without genuinely listening to my advice. When that happens, they then ask me to train them for free. To which I would accidentally laugh about out loud and a fight would probably ensue at some point. So my humble demeanor and constant subject change away from conversations about the gym is for my own safety, really.

What is your ethnic background?

Half Iranian and half German

Walk us through your incredible journey to becoming an Australian Model.

To be honest it started off just as an inspiring model or model in training, to now a professional and internationally published cover model. And as of recent Australia’s Top Glamour Model of 2017.
I can definitely say it’s been such an amazing adventure, meeting all sorts of people, working with different professionals in the industry and gaining more and more experience as I progress through my career.

How long have you been modeling?

I have been modeling since October 2015 and never looked back. So it’s been almost 2 years now

Introduce us to a day in your life?

It really depends on what day ha-ha
Usually, if I am having a photo-shoot day. I am getting ready for the shoot, if there is a HMUA, I usually go to them or they come to me before going to the set. It honestly depends because in some cases I have my hair and makeup was done on set, and sometimes the shoot location is the hotel location that I am staying at.

Every photo shoot, catwalk or video shoot is another amazing experience for me, I love what I do
If I am not modeling I am working as a Hairdresser in the salon I work at. Which is also a great and fun job for me?
Eventually, I do want to make modeling my full-time job

What magazines have you featured in?

Since July 2016 I have been featured in over 20 print and online publications.
Including but not limited to Celeb Riche Magazine, Conceited Magazine, BADD Magazine Online, RHK Magazine, Visual Magazine, Vanquish Magazine and much more

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

I would say it is slightly strict, besides my regular workout routine, I eat reasonably healthy.
I do allow treats in my diet, in proportion of course. Otherwise, I usually eat lean meats and foods high in protein and low in carbs.
And I drink a protein shake once a day for most days of the week.

You won Australian top glamor model 2017 how did that feel and what was the process of the competition?

Does winning give you an advantage and what do you think you will gain from it?
Honestly when I first applied to be a part of the Australia’s Top Glamour Models project I was really enthusiastic and deep down I really felt that I had the potential to be Australia’s Top Glamour Model. Applications took place in mid-2016

About 17 models, including myself, were selected across Australia and photographed for the Australia’s Top Glamour Models 2017 Calendar. We also had behind the scenes/introduction videos produced as a part of the project as well.

This year, about early April, public voting (from all over the world) started, so that’s when the public had the opportunity to vote for their favorite model.

The judging panel also looked at other components like professionalism, publications and just the overall progress for every model
About a week or so after the public voting closed, I got a phone call to say that I had won the title. I was so overwhelmed and slightly shocked too

On May 21st they made the announcement to the public and it’s been such an amazing boost of exposure ever since.
I have had a lot of opportunities and doors open in such a short space of time already. Allot of people have been congratulating me and quite a lot of industry professionals have approached me in the last few days

So I can definitely say it is such an honor to earn this title and it definitely has been very beneficial. I can definitely say that all my hard work has paid off.

Why did you start modeling?

As I was growing up, as a little girl I really admired all the models I would see on TV and in magazines. They really inspired me. When I turned 17 that’s when I realized that I really wanted to become a ‘supermodel’. It wasn’t until I was 21, after not really taking much interest in the studies/courses I did, that I took the initial step to do my very first professional photo-shoot.

And I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. I enjoyed my first photo-shoot so much I wanted to be there all day
And since then I never looked back and have pursued a career in modeling. Which honestly has worked out so well, it’s all I could have ever asked for? I really enjoy what I do now.

Who has been your greatest influence and motivator in your success in this field?

Besides watching all the supermodels on TV as a little girl, models like Gigi Hadid and Kendal Jenner really are really good inspirations to look at.

That’s what I do sometimes, I read through my favorite magazines or look on the Internet, and I really get inspired by the things I see.
My passion and love for modeling has really driven me and helped me come this far.

I suppose what I mean is when you really love something and it means a lot to you, you will really work hard for it.
My manager has probably been the most supportive and motivating person in my life when it comes to my career. I can definitely say I wouldn’t have made it this far without his support.

You have featured in several top magazines. What are your Top 5 Tips to rock a photoshoot?

To be honest different things help different people. I would definitely say, firstly don’t be afraid to over express yourself, really get into the mood of the shoot

Secondly, if music helps you move and pose naturally, see if you can have music playing in the background. If not sometimes having your favorite song in your head, helps you relax and not be ‘stiff’ during the shoot.

Where possible also bring someone mature and responsible with you. That way, it can sometimes make you feel more comfortable when you have someone you know there on set. Mothers, Fathers or parental guardians probably not, unless you are under 18 of course. I would definitely advise this for beginner models because sometimes bringing a friend or partner with you can make you feel more comfortable.

Always have something to eat or drink, or both before a photo-shoot. You don’t have to eat a huge a meal but you definitely need to have a good amount of energy and be awake for a photo-shoot. Having an empty stomach can potentially put you in a bad mood too.

Lastly and this definitely is an important tip. I could talk all day about posing and facial expressions with the experience I have as well as all the workshops I have done.

But I do always suggest ‘open spaces’ and ‘opposite angles’ in your posing. It basically means when you pose leave gaps or open spaces, it makes your body appear slimmer. You can create very interesting poses and shapes by the way you position your arms, your legs, your back and your whole body. Opposite angles are basically when one body part leans one way, other parts lean the opposite way. Again it creates an interesting shape and appealing effect. I would advise any beginner model reading this, to look through magazines and observe closely how the model is posing.

What new projects are you working on currently?

I am working on quite a lot of projects at the moment. Very soon I am modeling for a Fashion Editorial photoshoot/video which I am very excited about.

At the same time, I am working with several photographers this coming month for magazine submissions. I will also be collaborating with some brands for some of these upcoming photoshoots too.

What did you do for your first job?

My first job was working as an assistant/helper at a Hairdressing Salon.

Lure Hsu, a Taiwanese designer, can definitely pass for a teenager with her looks and sense of fashion.  The internet is completely mesmerized after revealing that she is turning 42-years-old this August.

She caught the public’s attention back in 2015 after her 35-year-old sister, Sharon, appeared on an entertainment show.  Within that year, Sharon posted on her social media that she was celebrating her sister’s (Lure Hsu) 40^th birthday.

Even approaching the age of 42 this year, Hsu shows the world her fresh looks, wrinkle-free and smooth skin, and with similar features as high school girls.

Her Instagram account has over 255,000 followers, while her Facebook account has 345,000 likes.

She has gone viral recently and several local medias in China and Taiwan call her “the goddess with a frozen age”.

Hsu explains that she believes she owes her youthfulness by drinking plenty of water and eating vegetables.

She keeps herself hydrated and prioritized this as the main reason for looking so young.

Hsu avoids consuming sugary drinks, and her only choice of drink aside from water is a cup of black coffee every morning.

Her diet consists of vegetarian meals; Chinese cabbage is her favorite.

She also sticks to light-flavored dishes and doesn’t use strong dipping sauces in her meal, referring them to “high energy level”.

She also revealed that she takes Vitamin C pills and collagen supplements daily, keeping her skin radiating.

As for skin care, Hsu uses sunscreen during summer and recommends moisturizing every day.  She advices, “once your skin has enough water, you don’t even need to worry about aging and wrinkes.”

A competition for the ‘Most Beautiful Buttocks’ in China took place in a shopping mall in Shenyang, a provincial capital of Liaoning Province.

Out of 50 contestants wiggling and shaking their bottoms to seven different judges, Gao Qian, a 19-year-old personal trainer and vlogger, took the title home.

Gao Qian, being 5 ft. and 7 in. tall and weighing 132 lbs., underwent intensive training in preparation for the contest, working out an average of six hours a day and doing thousands of squats and lunges.

She prides in winning the competition, stating, “I’m very pleased with the results”, and continues with, “I will carry on training no matter how hard it might get.”

Her bottom is all natural and she has never had implants.  In public, she says that she cannot go out in public wearing tights since “people would surround [her] and point at [her] backside”.  One experience she had was a couple arguing because the man was praising her assets to his girlfriend.

Although she has won the title, she continues to work hard.

She believes that Asian women have a slight disadvantage when compared to Caucasian or Latino women in regards to curves.

“It might be a genetic thing or the bone structure.”

“In addition, they have more systematic training.”

However, that doesn’t stop her from dreaming to compete in the Miss BumBum competition in Brazil.

Her family is extremely supportive and believes this a positive activity for her to do.  When signing up, her father gave her motivation and support.  She feels absolutely fortunate to have a family who has her back.

Meet Kina Shen, a 25-year-old blogger and model, who looks like a living doll.

Her fan based is mainly in China, but she has over 460,000 followers on Instagram.  She started her Instagram in 2013 and has gained much fame for her porcelain skin, make-up skills that creates anime-like eyes, and trendy outfits.  All of these features makes Shen look like a doll.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing Management at The Art Institute of California Hollywood and has made YouTube tutorials on her eye make-up.
